Solinda Garcia-Bautista

Mother of a Son with Autism, Former Technology Executive, Music-for-Health Pioneer, Autism Advocate

Drawing from 27 years of raising Kevin, a creative thinker with autism, 28 years of corporate experience in Manila, Chicago, New York, Hong Kong and Japan as a technology leader for two global firms, and a recent Masters degree in Music Therapy, Solinda is in the forefront of harnessing music for healing, health and well-being in the Philippines. She helps individuals of all ages and abilities, communities and corporate teams, through music therapy, group drumming facilitation and socio-emotional arts on one end, to adaptive piano teaching, coaching, and concertizing on the other.

Solinda is a classical-crossover pianist, CPA Board topnotcher, former Vice President for Information Technology of Manulife Philippines, passionate autism and dementia advocate, musical director for yearly autism fundraisers, and co- author of an autism book.

During this pandemic, she presented her research at the World Congress of Music Therapy, delivered talks to 7,300+ people at medical, music, and academic conferences, and joined the faculty of St. Paul University Manila’s graduate school. Over the past four years, she facilitated clinical, corporate and community drumming experiences for 2,300+ people.
